Your Attitude Muscle is ...

  • What gets sore when you have to be nice to people who aren't being nice to you.
  • What helps you get out of bed when it's cold outside.
  • What helps you smile when you realize you don't have any clean clothes to wear today.
  • What finds the humor in tense situations.

Workouts for strengthening your Attitude Muscle

  • When you are treated rudely by someone, you take the time to realize they probably did not intend to be rude.
  • When your child continues to do something you've asked them not to do, you shift your attitude and try to see things as they see them.
  • When you're stuck in traffic and are late for an appointment, you practice your relaxation techniques.

Tips

  • Rest your Attitude Muscle so it can recover between workouts.
  • Sometimes your muscle gets worked too much and becomes sore. At that point, you should try to be around other people with fresh Attitude Muscles.
  • You want to work this muscle enough that it builds stronger, but not so hard that it breaks and causes relationships and self-confidence to fracture.
  • If your Attitude Muscle is feeling strong, help lift other people's attitudes.

PUMP IT UP!
